Do you prefer to sweep, scull, or either?
I was introduced to this sport with sweep and continue to prefer that but have since learned to enjoy sculling also – especially the built-in flexibility of being able to row solo and/or not having to find a cox.  But despite that, my heart is with sweep.

What made you interested in rowing?
A friend (Joyce Williams) saw a notice for the LTR class and said let’s give it a try and so , without any knowledge of what we were in for, we took the class.  I think we both liked the idea of doing a sport on the water and that it was so close to our homes.  That was about 18 years ago and we are both still members.

What is one of the things you enjoy about HRRC?
The membership rates have never changed 🙂 .  That is nice, but also the club is made up of such a variety of ages, professions and just in general, of nice, intelligent folks.  We are all bound by a love of rowing – we even have our own language.
